The basic concept of our series models
clearly defined and proven in practice
Experience that doesn't have to be reinvented every time.
Our series models are the result of practical experience. Over the course of many projects, 4wheel24 has repeatedly built very similar vehicles – often for people who have consciously relied on our experience. This led to the decision to bundle these proven solutions and offer them as clearly defined series concepts.
The repeatability ensures a balanced price-performance ratio, predictable construction times and straightforward decision-making – without bloated configurations. Adaptations are made via a clearly defined selection of sensible additional options that cover all the important requirements of an expedition vehicle without departing from the basic concept.
The series models are aimed at travelers who want to travel independently – whether as a transition from classic camping or for more demanding trips off the beaten track. These are not slimmed-down vehicles, but fully comprehensive, tried-and-tested expedition vehicles, developed for real-life use and without experimental special solutions.
Does this concept basically fit in with your travel plans?
The basis of our series models
Two proven chassis, one common basic technical concept.
There are two proven all-wheel-drive truck platforms to choose from for our series vehicles.
Both chassis are fully integrated into the series concept and are prepared using the same basic technical approach.
The decision is less about right or wrong and more about personal preferences regarding the weight, dimensions and character of the vehicle.

Standard conversion measures on the base vehicle
A uniform technical standard - regardless of the chassis selected.
Regardless of whether the series vehicle is based on a MAN TGM or a Mercedes-Benz Arocs, all models are prepared using the same basic technical approach. The standard conversion measures form the basis for a resilient, durable expedition vehicle and ensure that the chassis, body and subsequent use are coordinated from the outset.
This is not about individual measures, but about a holistically developed concept that has proven itself in practice and has been further refined over many vehicles.

The living area of our series models
A common basis - designed for real expedition use.
The living cabin forms the common basis of all series models. It is consistently designed for robustness, good insulation and clean integration into the overall vehicle and is suitable for use on long journeys as well as in everyday life off the beaten track.
With internal dimensions of approx. 5,000 × 2,300 × 2,100 mm and a 350 mm rear slope, the cab offers a balanced ratio of space, weight and external dimensions. The cab dimensions are an integral part of the series concept.
The cabin is designed as a self-supporting fiber-MOX cabin. All-round aluminum profiles, reinforced outer edges and corner domes ensure stability and durability. The cab is painted as standard in a RAL color of your choice using the 4wheel24 GlasuProtect painting process.

The expansion stages of our series models
One cabin - two ways to the finished expedition vehicle.
Based on the identical living cabin, there are two clearly defined expansion stages to choose from. Both options follow different approaches, but are based on the same design foundation and the same technical series concept.
Empty cabin (self-construction)
The empty cabin offers a fully assembled and prepared living cabin without interior fittings. It is aimed at customers who want to realize the conversion themselves or implement it step by step and want to rely on a robust, tried-and-tested basis.
A defined selection of windows, doors and storage space flaps is already included as standard. These are prepared including cut-outs and professional installation in freely selectable positions, so that the self-assembly is based on a well thought-out and practical foundation.
Suitable for:
- Self-builder with own expansion idea
- Projects to be developed in stages
- Maximum freedom in planning and implementation
Fully equipped (ready to go)
The full conversion is aimed at all those who are looking for a fully converted expedition vehicle and do not want to deal with planning, coordination or their own work. The cabin is completely fitted out by 4wheel24 and handed over ready to travel – as a coherent, tried and tested overall solution.
The interior fittings follow clearly defined floor plans and a proven technical layout. Materials, furniture construction and technical systems are coordinated and developed based on our experience. The result is a fully developed expedition vehicle with clear cost and time planning that can be used immediately without any further expansion steps.
Suitable for:
- Anyone looking for an immediately usable solution
- Clear planning without own expansion project
- Proven concepts instead of individual decisions
The floor plans of the full extension
Three tried and tested cuts - developed from experience and use.
Our standard models in full extension are available in three clearly defined layouts. All are based on the same cabin and identical technical structure, but with different priorities in terms of room layout, use and suitability for everyday use.
The floor plans are based on real projects and many built vehicles. They deliberately avoid excessive individualization in favour of well thought-out, tried-and-tested solutions. This means that different travel profiles can be covered – from clearly structured layouts to concepts with a greater separation of living and sleeping areas.

Corner bathroom
In this layout, the bathroom is positioned at the front of the bulkhead on the driver’s side. This leaves the rear area completely reserved for living and sleeping, creating a very open feeling of space in the rear.
The fridge is located right next to the entrance door, which makes everyday life much easier – groceries can be stowed away quickly and you can reach for a cool drink without any detours. The kitchen is located on the passenger side, well connected to the central living area.
The fixed bed is located at the rear, with the U-shaped seating area in front of it. This offers plenty of space for sitting, eating or relaxing and creates a clearly defined living area. The layout is particularly suitable for travelers who value a spacious lounge and short distances in everyday life.
Room divider bath
This floor plan is based on a clear separation of sleeping and living areas. The fixed bed is located in the rear, directly in front of it is the room-dividing bathroom, which divides the interior into two clearly defined zones.
The shower and toilet are each located to the side and accessible via their own doors – the shower on the driver’s side and the toilet on the passenger’s side. There is a central passageway in between, which does not restrict freedom of movement in the vehicle.
The seating area is located at the front wall, with the kitchen on the driver’s side. The spatial separation makes this layout particularly suitable for people traveling together with different daily or sleeping rhythms or for anyone who values clearly separated functional areas.
Shower entrance bath
This floor plan is one of the most frequently built layouts at 4wheel24 and has proven itself in practice many times over. The entrance bathroom through which you enter the vehicle is characteristic. The shower is located at the front wall and forms a functional separation from the living area.
The toilet is located on the driver’s side and can be used and locked separately thanks to a double-hinged door. As a fully-fledged wet area, this creates a practical dirt trap that is also ideal for storing and drying wet clothing.
The fixed bed in the rear is located in the living area, with the kitchen on the driver’s side and the seating area opposite. The clear layout ensures short distances and a balanced sense of space.
Optional adaptations within the series concept
Extensions that are a useful addition to the standard vehicle.
Our series vehicles are deliberately designed to be clearly defined and fully operational. It is also possible to integrate selected adaptations. These options are technically tested, integrated into the series concept and do not change the basic design or the proven system architecture.
This allows individual priorities to be set – for example in terms of comfort, self-sufficiency or use – without abandoning the character of a tried-and-tested series vehicle.

Individual expedition vehicles
If the series concept is not sufficient, free planning begins.
In addition to our series models, we at 4wheel24 also realize completely individually planned expedition vehicles. These projects are created outside of the defined series concepts and are consistently tailored to personal requirements, travel profiles and usage wishes.
All-wheel drive vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers and weight classes serve as the basis. The interior fittings are freely developed – from the room layout and materials to the technology, storage space and utilization concept. Every wish can be taken into account and integrated into a coherent overall system.
While our series vehicles are based on proven solutions and clear structures, individual projects offer maximum creative freedom. Planning and implementation are carried out with the same technical depth, experience and care that goes into all 4wheel24 vehicles.
